Adamized

 I’ve been Adamized

Utterly rebellious under Adam’s lies

Every atom lies split from the slit in Adam’s side

Wise in eyes tied corruptly to Adam’s pride

The prize of the foolish ties

The size of Adam’s prize

Revoked with His demise

The reprise of the serpent’s rise

In deceived disguise claiming sin as benign

Adam dined fine

Sublime; one of a kind

Adam realizes Adam’s blind

Pursuant of pies in perfect skies

God-pointing lies

Colossal, atomic pigsties

Adam now atomized

And Adam’s kin now dies

And who am I?

Adam’s genes and atoms tied

From Adam’s own stratum, tried

Before the old Adam, alike I lie

The same guy

Same idolatrous “why?”

Same sty

Same sly Adamic dye

Same inclination to scrap and pry

Same resentful sigh

But another came to buy

A second Adam from the sky

By and by from Adam’s thigh

When time made nigh

For me the Second Adam came to die

“Forgive them” was His cry

To slice me out of Adam’s pie

To split the atoms tie

And re-tie me to He who dies

And Adam’s Adam added me to those who rise.

Cutting time’s ties He’s made me Adamized

Promising highs that would have struck Adam surprised
